Significant advancements in technology and the intensified use of information and digital systems have heightened susceptibility to cyber threats, thereby increasing the necessity to enhance public and professional awareness of cybersecurity. This paper analyzes various demographic factors of an online survey to get a clear picture of how well the public in the European Union understands the importance of cybersecurity, highlighting the need for integration of cybersecurity awareness into cybersecurity strategies for both public and private entities.
